Lyan

Lyan is a popular and affordable student housing area with a great location close to Linnaeus University, right in the heart of Campus Växjö.

Lyan consists of 645 housing units and is our largest student quarter.

Here, you can choose between simpler (and affordable) corridor rooms or apartments with 1–2 rooms and a kitchen or kitchenette. The housing includes 253 corridor rooms and 392 apartments.

As with all our student accommodations, the rent is based on a 10-month lease, and internet is included. For corridor rooms, electricity is also included.

A corridor room consists of a private room with its own toilet and an entrance hall with a lockable front door. All rooms have a private shower. You’ll have your own shelves and space in the shared kitchen's fridge and freezer. The rooms have painted walls and vinyl flooring – a basic, functional standard.

Furniture Reuse

Leave items at P G Vejdes väg 4A (separate building in the courtyard).
You can leave: chairs, desks, coffee tables, lamps, shelves, dressers, etc.
❌ Please do not leave: upholstered furniture, broken or dirty items, beds, mattresses, or disassembled furniture.

Clothes & Household Items Reuse

Leave items in the entrance at Lyan 61.
You can leave:

  • Clothes: sweaters, pants, jackets, shoes, etc.
  • Household items: cutlery, plates, glasses, kitchen utensils, etc.
    Please make sure everything you leave is in good condition – something you would use yourself.

Storage Units

Storage is available for certain buildings.

P G Vejdes väg:

  • Residents of buildings 2 and 4 – storage in building 4
  • Residents of buildings 6 and 8 – storage in building 6
  • Residents of 18 A–B, 20 A–B, and 22 A – storage in building 20
  • Residents of 22 B and 24 A–B – storage in building 24
