In the middle of the Campus you will find the Forskaren student quarter, which consists of 304 apartments divided into two blocks: the older castle-like Forskaren & the renovated & spacious Nya Forskaren.
Forskaren – Where Rustic Charm Meets Castle Vibes
Forskaren is one of our most unique student quarters, built in the early 90s after an architecture competition. Located just north of P G Vejdes väg, the design took inspiration from its open surroundings – resulting in a bold, fortress-like layout.
Constructed with Swedish bricks from Slottsmöllan, laid with their textured back sides exposed, the buildings have a raw, rustic charm that stands out. The earthy tones, white architectural details, and green outdoor spaces create a warm and grounded atmosphere.
Home to 200 apartments spread over four buildings, each surrounding its own artistic courtyard, Forskaren offers both privacy and community. The courtyards are artistically designed by four different Swedish artists, giving each space its own personality.
With French balconies and wide lawns ideal for sunny hangouts or casual BBQs, this is a place where student life thrives.

New Forskaren – Fresh, Social, and Central
Looking for a modern, affordable home right on campus? Welcome to New Forskaren! These renovated office buildings became 112 student apartments in 2016 and are now a favorite among students at Campus Växjö.
The studios here are bright and spacious — some big enough for two! You can also live in a double or triple apartment, sharing with other students while still having your own private, lockable room.
Internet is included in the rent (which is only paid 10 months per year), and if you live in a double or triple, electricity is included too.

Furniture Reuse
Leave items at P G Vejdes väg 4A (separate building in the courtyard).
You can leave: chairs, desks, coffee tables, lamps, shelves, dressers, etc.
❌ Please do not leave: upholstered furniture, broken or dirty items, beds, mattresses, or disassembled furniture.
Clothes & Household Items Reuse
Leave items in the entrance at Lyan 61.
You can leave:
- Clothes: sweaters, pants, jackets, shoes, etc.
- Household items: cutlery, plates, glasses, kitchen utensils, etc.
Please make sure everything you leave is in good condition – something you would use yourself.
