Good to Know When Moving In on Campus

Welcome home! To make your move-in as smooth as possible, we’ve gathered everything you need to know about living on Campus. Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions.

1. Tag – Your Digital Key

When you move in, you’ll receive a tag that works as your key. It gives you access to:

  • The entrance to your building
  • Your storage unit
  • Most recycling stations
  • In some cases, your mailbox and laundry room

2. Locks and Keys

Electronic Lock

If your apartment has an electronic lock, make sure the blue side of the key faces right when unlocking. This key is used for your apartment and the bike room.

Do you live at PG Vejdes väg 15–17 or Vejdes plats 2–4?

You’ll also use the key for the recycling station.

Do you live at PG Vejdes väg 10, 12, 14, or 16?

Here’s how the lock works:

  • To unlock: Insert the key and turn
  • To lock: Lift the handle until it clicks, then insert the key and turn

3. Mailbox

Your mailbox is located in the entrance on the ground floor. It opens with a key—or sometimes with your tag.

We’ll place your name on both the mailbox and your apartment door.

👉 Remember: Do not put up your own name labels!

4. Storage Unit

Most apartments come with a private storage unit, usually in the basement, attic, or another floor in the building. The unit is marked with your apartment number.

Note: Corridor rooms and some apartments at PG Vejdes väg 15–17, Vejdes plats, and Studentstigen 2B do not have storage units.

Is your storage unit locked with a padlock when you move in?

That’s a temporary lock to prevent unauthorized use. To have it opened:

5. Fuses

Fuses are usually located in the hallway. If a fuse trips:

  • Flip it back up
  • If it’s stuck halfway: first flip it all the way down, then back up again

6. Waste Management

Let’s keep Campus clean together! In our recycling stations, we sort food waste, packaging, residual waste, etc. Recycling is mandatory under Swedish law.

Reuse of Furniture, Clothes & Household Items

Give what you can – take what you need

Need something for your home – or have items you no longer use?
Drop off and pick up items for free at our reuse stations!

Furniture Reuse
Leave items at P G Vejdes väg 4A (separate building in the courtyard).
You can leave: chairs, desks, coffee tables, lamps, shelves, dressers, etc.
❌ Please do not leave: upholstered furniture, broken or dirty items, beds, mattresses, or disassembled furniture.

Clothes & Household Items Reuse
Leave items in the entrance at Lyan 61.
You can leave:

  • Clothes: sweaters, pants, jackets, shoes, etc.
  • Household items: cutlery, plates, glasses, kitchen utensils, etc.
    Please make sure everything you leave is in good condition – something you would use yourself.
